About Us

Muskingum County Library System is the Information Destination for Southeast Ohio. The library system strives to provide exceptional library experiences to the residents of Muskingum County at the John McIntire Library located in downtown Zanesville as well as the 5 branch libraries serving Dresden, Duncan Falls/Philo, New Concord, Roseville and South Zanesville.

A free library card with the Muskingum County Library System is the key to tradional library services and resources such as borrowing books, DVDs, CDs, CD Roms, magazines and Audio Books. However, a library card with the Muskingum County Library System also provides access to free public computers, Internet access, wireless service, speakers, family entertainment, book discussions, early childhood literacy programs and databases covering a variety of topics and interests.

The library's web site at www.muskingumlibrary.org serves as the 7th library in the Muskingum County Library System. Library card holders can search the library's catalog, place holds for items they want to borrow, manage their library record, access databases online including a dictionary and World Book, have 24/7 Reference Service, and free Live Homework Tutor sessions to name just a few.
